Dr. Rachel Stadnyk
Veterinarian
Degrees: Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Rachel grew up on Manitoulin Island, Ontario and had a love of animals from a very early age. Throughout high school she would volunteer with the local veterinary clinics and then went to University of Guelph to complete her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, with a major in animal science, prior to vet school. She went on to obtain her veterinary degree from the Ontario Veterinary College, graduating in 2012. Upon graduation Rachel moved to Uxbridge with her husband and worked at Brooklin Veterinary Hospital and Port Perry Veterinary Services, doing both small and large animal medicine. She also did a few years in Mount Albert, Ontario as a small animal veterinarian before purchasing Pet Hospital on Main in December of 2018.
Outside of work, Rachel loves spending time with her family, her husband, three young daughters and various pets, playing outside and being active. She also enjoys time with friends, playing sports, participating in community events and travelling back to Manitoulin Island to visit her family.
Dr. Eva Lee
Veterinarian
Degrees: Bachelor of Animal Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Eva Lee was born and raised in Montreal, where she completed her Bachelor in Animal Science at McGill University. She graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph in 2001 and spent 2 years in Ottawa doing both general practice and emergency medicine. After moving to Toronto in 2003, she did contract work in the GTA and continues to work occasionally at various clinics. Her contract work led her to a long term position in Whitby, where she had the fortune of teaming with our superstar technician: Sam! After working Whitby for 5 years and another 5 years in Scarborough, she is excited to join the compassionate and knowledgeable team at Pet Hospital on Main!
Dr. Lee lives in Markham with her husband, 2 school aged boys, and an energetic senior Yorkie cross, named Chewii. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending her children’s sporting events, taking road trips, spending time outdoors, cooking/baking, and participating in various volunteer projects.
Sam
Registered Veterinary Technician
Degree: Diploma in Veterinary Technology
Sam graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Ridgetown College in 2002. She joined the PHOM team in the spring of 2010. Sam thoroughly enjoys educating clients and being able to improve the bond between pets and their families. In her spare time, Sam enjoys working on her mini farm and playing with her dog; Astro and her latest addition; Petey, her tri coloured mini pot – bellied pig.
Lisa
Registered Veterinary Technician
Degrees: Registered Veterinary Technician with an Advance Wildlife Technician Certificate
Lisa Black is a Registered Veterinary Technician, with an Advance Wildlife Technician certificate. She graduated from Saint Clair College in 1994. Lisa has a special interest in turtles and you will also find her at the Kawartha Turtle Trauma Center using her skills. She loves spending time with her family, being outside at the cottage with her dog Eddie.

Tara-Lynn
Veterinary Assistant
Degrees: Veterinary Assistant Certificate
Tara-Lynn worked for many years as a manager in the restaurant industry but went back to school in the fall of 2009. She graduated from the Veterinary Assistant Program at Durham College in 2011 and joined the Pet Hospital on Main team shortly after. In her free time, Tara-Lynn enjoys spending time with her two children Joshua and Katie-Lynn, and their dog Rory. They enjoy hiking on Uxbridge’s many trails and love to geocache along the way.
